What happens when Jesus confronts your worldview?

In high school, Sebastian realizes that he has never seriously considered the Christian faith he grew up knowing in the State church. It isn’t long after he begins his personal investigation into Christianity that his world turns upside down.

The Danish Film Series

Responding to God’s leading, we filmed five Danish testimonies and created an interactive Prayer Guide to serve the people of Denmark. The Danish films are meant to encourage Christians and engage non-Christians within the nation, and our Prayer Guide is designed to inspire worldwide prayers for Denmark, where 97% of the residents don’t know Jesus.

Read Luke 14:25-33 out loud with your group and allow time for reflection and observation of the passage of Scripture.

STEP 3: SHARE

In Luke 14, Jesus says that being His disciple requires allegiance to Him above all else. What is your initial response to His challenging words?

Sebastian’s faith required that he count the cost of following Jesus. Why do you think Jesus says this is necessary as His disciple?

Sebastian’s old life was nothing compared to the life he received in Christ. How is Jesus better than what you give your allegiance to?

Following Jesus isn’t easy, but God’s grace enables you, just like it does Sebastian. What is one way you see God’s grace meeting you as you follow Him?
