We all have unfulfilled dreams. Ritsuko’s nearly killed her.
Ritsuko dreamt of finding fame, love, and acceptance. However, when this dream disappeared, a glimmer of hope arose that not only quenched her feelings of despair, but provided more love and acceptance than she could ever imagine.

The Japanese Film Series
Responding to God’s leading, we filmed six Japanese testimonies and created an interactive Prayer Guide to serve the people of Japan. The Japanese films are meant to encourage Christians and engage non-Christians within the nation, and our Prayer Guide is designed to inspire worldwide prayers for Japan, where 99% of the residents don’t know Jesus.

STEP 1: WATCH

Watch I Am Alive with your small group and allow time for reflection and observation after the film is finished.

STEP 2: READ

Read John 10:10-11 out loud with your group and allow time for reflection and observation of the passage of Scripture.

STEP 3: SHARE

Ritsuko was looking for love and acceptance in her life. In what ways do you seek for this in your own life?

Verse 10 says that “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy”. Who is the thief, and how does he steal, kill, and destroy?

In contrast, Christ calls himself the good shepherd, who gives his life for others. How does He give you life abundantly? Do you struggle to experience abundant life?

Ritsuko was radically transformed by the love of Christ. How might He be calling you to respond to his offer of life today?
