Meet two criminals who love Jesus.
Radek and Jirka are bad men. Living lives plagued by violence, neglect, and self-centeredness, the two men soon find themselves threatened by something much more terrifying than any prison sentence–the inescapable reality of death itself.

The Czech Film Series
Responding to God’s leading, we filmed six Czech testimonies and created an interactive Prayer Guide to serve the people of the Czech Republic. The Czech films are meant to encourage Christians and engage non-Christians within the nation, and our Prayer Guide is designed to inspire worldwide prayers for the Czech Republic, where 99% of the residents don’t know Jesus.
Study
STEP 1: WATCH

Watch Dead Men with your small group and allow time for reflection and observation after the film is finished.

STEP 2: READ

Read Romans 6:20-23 out loud with your group and allow time for reflection and observation of the passage of Scripture.

STEP 3: SHARE

Verse 20 says that without Christ, you are a “slave of sin”. What does it mean to be enslaved to sin? Think about life before Christ.

Radek and Jirka came to realize that their sin leads to an eternal death. Do you think of your own sin in this way? Why or why not?

Christ’s life, death, and resurrection frees you from the bondage of sin. How have you experienced this, or do you struggle to believe it?

No longer being a slave to sin means you are now a slave to God. What does it practically look like for you to live a life enslaved to our good and loving Father?
