Peter’s desire to make films started at a young age and led him to writing and directing a portfolio of award-winning films which have been shown at AFI Fest, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Los Angeles Film Festival and many more. His work has garnered further recognition in ad campaigns for Converse and Travelocity and broadcast programming on IFC. In addition to writing projects for Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal, and Walden Media, Peter’s feature script, Green, was selected for the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriter’s Lab and Film Independent’s Fast Track Program. But even more defining than Peter’s desire to make films is his growing passion for the Gospel. By God’s grace and the power of His Word, Peter’s growing desire to see God be glorified led him to redirect his focus from making Hollywood films to the even more exciting goal of seeing God’s name proclaimed throughout the nations. After several months of traveling and documenting what God was doing around the globe, Peter felt a clear call of the Lord to use his gifts in full-time ministry by starting Moving Works in July 2012.

Rachel has a passion for helping people. Shortly after becoming a Christian, she joined Youth With A Mission where she led a team to Southeast Asia, after the 2004 Tsunami, to care for those suffering and share the love of Christ. Later, her passion for helping others led her to education management, where she worked with teachers and students in the cosmetology industry. Her time with these highly creative and visually driven students made her realize the power of visual representation, and the need for the Gospel to be communicated in this way. Over a two year process, God called both Rachel and her husband, Ian, out of their careers and into full-time ministry. God has placed a strong desire in Rachel’s heart to serve and equip the Church to walk closely with the Lord and share the Gospel. Because of Rachel’s love for missions, longing to see the Gospel communicated visually, and desire to serve the Church, it is no surprise God led her to join Moving Works. She hopes to build and strengthen relationships among individuals, churches, and organizations so that together we can share the Gospel with our neighbors and the nations.

Since he was first able to hold a paint brush and pencil, Walt has been painting and drawing. After he received a degree in civil engineering, God led Walt and his wife Annie into full-time ministry. After a year of training and outreach in the Netherlands and the Middle East, God laid on their hearts a desire to return to the arts and use it for His kingdom. Walt then headed to South Africa to be trained at a film school in Cape Town, where he learned the tools needed to start working in the field of filmmaking for missions. Walt served 3 years with an organization called Caleb Project, followed by 6 years in Germany serving with GemStone Media. Walt most enjoys the role of Director of Photography, and enjoys refining his skill in creating and crafting beautiful images. Josef was born and raised in the heart of Texas. The son of a preacher, Josef was incredibly blessed to have received the forgiveness and grace of Christ early in life. In high school, Josef realized his ambition for filmmaking and felt that he could most effectively serve Jesus by making films that exalted Him. As a foundation, Josef received his Associate of Arts in Biblical studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, then went on to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to complete his Bachelor of Arts in film studies. A few years later, Josef and his wonderful wife Chelsea, were called back to the Lone Star State with the purpose of making films about Jesus and living intentionally for the advancement of the Gospel. Josef is honored to serve at Moving Works and he is grateful that the Lord has provided a ministry in which he can use his gifts to praise Christ. Josef hopes that through Moving Works’ films people will come to faith in Christ and that the church will be better equipped to be a light for the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Corn-fed, wheat eatin’, raised in Kansas the first 18 years of life. He would then head to John Brown University to receive his Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis on photography. Kenny entered local television news right out of college working as a photojournalist in both Iowa and Norfolk, Virginia; one of his favorite places. It was while in Virginia that his love for Jesus grew immensely, and in 2014, he left TV news to enter ministry and serve at Gospel for Asia. On a trip to India, God revealed to him how expansive and noticeable the Kingdom of God is expanding, and stirred an even greater passion to glorify God, both through film and in his daily walk with Jesus. Kenny is excited to join Moving Works to see the grace and love of Jesus proclaimed throughout the world.

Kristin grew up in the dusty plains of the Texas Panhandle. As a young kid, she not only fell in love with Jesus but developed a deep passion for creativity. After majoring in business at Texas A&M University and working for a public accounting firm for three years — which included a move up to Boston — she found herself longing to use her creative passion and skills more fully for the sake of the Gospel. In God’s perfect timing, she moved from the accounting world into the creative world and was given opportunities to grow as a producer and visual designer. After hearing about the ministry of Moving Works, it became evident that God had been preparing Kristin to join the team and help share the hope of Christ through film. She is excited to see the worship and fame of the Creator spread around the world, and at Moving Works, she gets a front row seat.
